Luanne, Ryan & Bill
About 93 Townsend
In 1999 Luanne Bradley began selling hand cut fish, fresh chowder, lobster rolls and ice cream to an enthusiastic group of summer visitors and local residents. A native of Boothbay Harbor, she was trained in the service industry at an early age by her parents, who ran two restaurants locally over the years.
Three years later she met Chef Bill Clifford and they quickly realized what a great team they would make together. Bill had travelled nationally as executive chef for many large restaurant groups and had recently come back to the East Coast to hopefully start his own concept.
In 2002, they formed the Daily Catch Restaurant and Bar located on Townsend Avenue in Boothbay Harbor. Success came quickly as excellent food, ambiance and service was well received by the region. Chef Bill achieved several national awards for his creative culinary dishes and their reputation continued to grow.
The couple were the first in the midcoast region to begin the Boothbay Harbor Wine Club, and with membership currently at 151 wine-lovers, it continues to be a huge success.
After nurturing their concept for a comfortable, affordable high quality restaurant
in the Boothbay area, the result is 93 Townsend -
A Coastal Kitchen. The couple changed the name of the restaurant early in 2006, hoping
to expand on their menu and appeal to a wider audience as they now look forward to
remaining open year round.
